Eryn and Adam were the first couple to book for 2011.  They are having their wedding at the Calgary Zoo in May and we are pretty excited to make photos there for them.  These 2 are such a sweet couple and are seriously made for each other.  We headed the beautiful highway 40 in Kananaskis Alberta for their engagement session.  It is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful stretches of highway anywhere in the world.  We made pit stops along the way to find cool places to create our photographs.    Check back in May for their wedding photos!  Here are now, are Eryn & Adam.

Julie & Ray e-session: APMs

What is APM?? How about “almost professional models”. The reason why these guys aren’t, is because they paid me and not the other way around! What is APM?? How about “almost professional models”. The reason why these guys aren’t, is because they paid me and not the other way around! Julie and Ray know how to strut their stuff making it soooo fun and easy to shoot them. I wanted a different feel for this engagement and Ray recommended going out to the mountains. The weather here has been nothing but craptastic with all the rain. As we headed west we were trying to decide if we wanted to turn around because it was pouring. We took an exit and drove under the Trans-Canada. Ray says, “what about here?”. I looked out the window and yelled, “yes! Stop the car!” Under the bridge is where we got our first few awesome shots. As the rain settled we ventured out and did more shots. Then it started to rain AGAIN! We decide to keep heading west this time since the rain was moving east. We went down the highway that takes you to Kananaskis where we ended up finishing the day at Barrier lake. I hope hoping the glacial silt there would have gave us a nice blue lake, but with all the rain the lake had a green color to it. Add the dramatic skies, awesome APM clients and the beautiful mountains setting, made it easy for me to make wonderful images. I can’t wait till your wedding in July. It’s gonna be nuts!
