I headed up to Edmonton last week to shoot Sowon and Dean’s engagement session. Sowon and Dean are getting married tomorrow, so here are just a few of the shots we got from their chilly e-session. Tomorrow is going to be a great day!

Mark is a fellow hardcore Flames fan, and found me on Calgarypuck. When I first met these 2, I knew I would like them. Jenn has an awesome, cute shy energy to her and Mark is her lovable teddy bear. Jenn was a little nervous at first, but soon settled down and we had a lot of fun. They wanted an autumn engagement session and we had the perfect day while the sun was out. I chose confederation park because I knew the colors there would be intense. It was a good choice because it wasn’t too busy and we found lots of cool little spots to make our images. I can’t wait till your wedding, it’s going to be a ton of fun. August 15th will come faster than you think!

What’s so real about this engagement session you ask? How about a photo session 5 minutes after she says yes? Sounds crazy but Jameel pulled it off. These two love birds have been together for 8 years and it was only a matter of time before Jameel went down on one knee. Jameel planned this many weeks in advanced so I offered him the session after his proposal so it would truly be a real engagement session. I mean, how many people actually have photos of themselves in the moment right after getting engaged. To be able to look back one day at your photos and say “we got engaged on that day”. It will be something truly special. Thank you so much, Jameel, for letting me be a part of a special day for you and Narisa. It was a wonderful experience. I know there are so many people who love you guys, but I got to be the one that was there. I am looking forward to a crazy wedding sometime in the future. For now, congratulations!
