Jenn & Khang are one of the couples I absolutely love. These 2 are the most down to earth people I have met. I have been looking forward to photographing their wedding all year. We started the day at Jenn’s parent’s house in northeast Calgary. When we walked in, we knew we wanted to shoot the prep in the living room. After moving some stuff around we had an awesome open space with very nice natural light flooding in. After Jenn’s prep photos, we headed to Chestermere for the ceremony. Many loved ones showed up for the beautiful ceremony right by the lake. Even boaters were rubber necking.
I had scouted a location the day before, just outside Calgary, but when we got there they told us we weren’t allowed to shoot there. i was totally choked and had a limo driver and a wedding party of 12 people waiting for me to make a decision. I quickly made a decided to shoot the photos in the back of an industrial park near the Calgary International Airport. Since we were in such a secluded (think drinking), quite place with lots of shade, we ended doing all the photography there.
The reception was held at Forbidden City Restaurant at Pacific Place mall in the northeast. They always have the best Chinese wedding food compared to most other places in Calgary. The reception was one huge party, as it should be. Lots of alcohol, lots of laughter, lots of tears and lots of love for Jenn and Khang. Exactly the way it should be.
Congrats Jenn & Khang. I am really glad to have met and got to know you both. We have so much in common that I am sure there will be more hanging out in the future…… Tiesto, Flames, Parties
I am looking forward to watching your marriage grow.
