I was so nervous about going to Denver by myself and doing this workshop. You don’t get many opportunities to meet and shoot with a world renowned photographer, so when you have the chance, you gotta take it. I am glad I took it. I feel like a new man. David has inspired me to take risk and to do the things I have always wanted to do, but didn’t know how. Armed with this knowledge, planet earth better be ready for me. Besides the learning, I met a lot of amazing photographers. I also came away with many friends also. I really hope some of you guys will come to Calgary one day and shoot with me. I can guarantee you I will be back in Denver to shoot with some of you guys in the future. In the meantime we’ll stalk each other’s blogs! Our first day models, Elizabeth and Taylor (that was really their names) were amazing. Every photo taken of them was beautiful and as photographers we couldn’t ask for more. We did not need to direct these girls at all. They did their thang and they did it well. If they want to be models in the future, they just started with a heck of a portfolio. But thanks to them, I also now have a better portfolio. I will post more photos from the shoot later this weekend when I have time. Here’s what it looked like when we were shooting in Georgetown, CO. People on the street were stopping to see all the commotion and though maybe celebrities were in town! Special shout outs to Suzanne and Jason for making me feel welcome in Denver. You guys were awesome hosts, and I love your beautiful home. Dusty the cowboy, who’s blog I am gonna stalk. Khoi, who better get a website and good luck breaking out of the “you know what” scene. Travis, you better get up here and shoot with me and show me your ways! Krista Cooley, if you need help with albums designs or workflow ideas, email me anytime.
