Jerry Ghionis inspires me like no one has ever had in my whole life. This workshop was a life changing event for me. I really think from this point on, things will get so much better. Not that it hasn’t been good. As a matter of fact, business has been great. After this week, I have the knowledge to launch JT Images into the stratosphere. Go where I never thought I could go. As you can tell… I am I.N.S.P.I.R.E.D. Who will win? Well, me and my family will win, but also, all my future clients. Be prepared for me to rock your socks off if you have already booked me. What’s even more amazing is that my first ever inspiration was also there in the same room for 5 days. I didn’t even know it until Jerry told me that Dave & Quin from DQ Studios was going to be our models. Dave & Quin also shoot in Calgary, but they are “exosphere” (higher than the stratosphere). How lucky was I? Even after all this, the workshop wouldn’t have been the same without all the wonderful photographers I met this week and got to know pretty well. I am going to of course try and stay in touch with all of them. I already miss you guys! I will add all the photographers I got business cards from to my blogroll links. Here are some of my shots from the workshop. We worked mostly on posing, lighting and expression, which is Jerry’s specialty. I put away 17-55mm and shot more of out of my comfort zone with only my 70-200mm.

Since I got back from Denver, my main focus was to get my website up. It took way too long to get my site up but it’s finally up!! I am very happy with the design and layout I choose. Since my site went up over the weekend I booked a few more weddings and got many inquires. 2009 is looking like it’s going to fill up, maybe even before I do Bridal Fantasy in January.

I finally got some time today to go through the rest of my photos from my shoot in Denver. Here are a few more for you to enjoy. Don’t forget to visit the bridal fashion gallery on the site to see the rest of the hot photos we did in Denver.

Well, my 3 day intensive shoot with Beckstead is all done. It was worth every penny. I can’t wait to take what I learned from David and implement in the business. I will talk about that later. I met some great photographers in the Denver area. Some of whom, I am sure I will be good friends with from here on in. I’ll get into that tomorrow as well. For now, here’s the photos from the shoot. Much more edgier style. The style I have always loved mixed with fashion. Of course it helped having real models, but I am sure I can implement these concepts with anyone who wants to. These photos are from day 1! There is still 2 more days that I haven’t even looked at…. need sleep….

Athyna & Jon’s Beautiful Brunch Wedding – The Fairmont Palliser

I looked forward to Athyna & Jon’s wedding for a while. I went to the Palliser twice, to look at what I had to work with. So, naturally I was very excited. It was a very nice change to attend an afternoon wedding on a Friday. The setup was beautiful and as a photographer, there was nothing more I could have asked. I had big windows with lots of natural light to make lovely pictures with. A&J were great in letting me do what I wanted to do with them. Athyna’s dress was gorgeous and looked beautiful on her. Jon was a simply a stud, but Athyna already knows that. I was such a pleasure to have been hand picked by Athyna to be their photographer. Thanks and I wish you guys all the happiness in the world.
