Meet Grace and Chris. As you can see with these two, they have style! They both wanted to head out of Calgary to Kananaskis for their session. We’ve been planning for this engagement session for a while, but due to the unpredictable southern Alberta weather, we just couldn’t get out. Well, we finally did and it was wicked. The weather was perfect and the Rocky mountains, as always, was picture perfect. All our shots were done along highway 40. In my opinion highway 40 is one of the most beautiful stretches of highway anywhere in the world. The views are spectacular as you drive though the Rockies. Surprisingly, this was G&C’s first time down the 40. Its a gem so close to home, everyone should take a day trip out here. These two are getting hitched in August. Keep an eye out for their wedding photos on the blog.

Lily and Sheldon showed up for their engagement photo session all dressed up and looking mighty fine! I’ve also played a little of hockey with Sheldon here and there, so it was easy to connect with these guys, They were down with all my crazy ideas. I took them to one of my favorite stomping grounds for their engagement session. Even when I go to the same location twice, I am constantly challenge myself to do something different. It had rained before so there were some puddles here and there that gave us some wicked shots. I love trains and train tracks. I know, I know.. I’ve done a lot of train track stuff, but I can’t help it, I love the lines!! These 2 were more than willing to make out in front of me and they sure did a lot of that! We got some pretty hot stuff. L&S are getting married in August so watch out for these 2 love birds on the blog in August. Enjoy!

Kelly and Mark were the first of my 3 engagement photo sessions this week. K&M are getting married outside of Calgary at Nakota Lodge in September. We are going to have spectacular scenery come September for their wedding photography. It should be quite amazing. Anyway, on the day of our session it was raining so we decided to run away from the rain. It kept catching up to us even as went went further south. As we drove looking for shooting opportunities, we drove by this abondoned house. Kelly spotted it and when I saw we had to turn around to see if it was even possible to get in there. Sure, enough we got in and we had a blast in there. Afterwords, we headed towards home and stopped off at some more interesting locations. I always have so much fun looking for random locations to shoot at. It keeps my creative juices flowing that’s for sure. Enjoy these photos and you will all see them again in September when they finally get married!!

We had a cool Calgary downtown engagement photography shoot about 2 weeks ago with Zairra and Cuong. We stayed in a 2 block radius and found some really good lighting and backgrounds. We were shooting in the alley of the provincial court house building. The security guard came out to kick us out of an alley. I don’t understand why security people think photographers are a threat. We were on public property as far as I was concerned. He had no right to tell us to leave, but we left anyways, because I got all the photos I needed. Z&C’s wedding is in Calgary and just around the corner in July. I have a feeling it’s going to be a crazy wedding! Can’t wait!!!

These guestbooks are not your typical guestbooks you buy at a Michael’s. These books are customed designed just for you with your engagement photos in them. With the old traditional book, do you really think you will ever look at your guest registry again? Most people will store it in a box somewhere in their basement. With our books, I guarantee you will put it on your bookself or coffee table and share it with friends who come over. After all, it’s also got great photos in them! If you don’t like the idea of people writing in your book, of course we can design it more like an album instead. Images created by us are meant to be presented in a nice album or book and not left of your hard drive.
