I would like to introduce everyone to Susan and Dobby. These 2 love birds came to me what seems like forever now when they were looking for a calgary wedding photographer. One of my cousins is Dobby’s groomsman, so this wedding will almost feel like a family affair. These 2 are one of the cutest couples ever. They worked the camera so good for me, just by connecting with each other. The wedding day photos are going to be awesome. Check back in September to see their wedding.

I am happy to introduce Stella and Jackson, who are getting married at the beautiful Banff Springs hotel in September. The wedding is going to be a good one and we are really excited to be their photographers. We photographed their engagement session at Johnston Canyon in Banff National Park. It was a perfect day and we had a lot fun until the mosquitoes came out and tried to get us.

With the old traditional book, do you really think you will ever look at your guest registry again? Most people will store it in a box somewhere in their basement. With our books, I guarantee you will put it on your bookself or coffee table and share it with friends who come over. After all, it’s also got great photos in them! If you don’t like the idea of people writing in your book, of course we can design it more like an album instead. I shot this engagement session after Christmas… I know, I know… why has it taken me this long to blog it? Honestly, Bridal Fantasy took up all my time right up until, pretty much about now, as I am almost caught up. I met Jillian & Rob for the first time in Canmore before our session. Jillian booked me over the phone because she’s stuck out east in school. And for Rob, well, he’s really East. All the way in one of my favorites cities on Earth, Amsterdam! They are in quite the long distance relationship. Right away, you can tell they were so much into each other. It was so fun to just watch them interact because I knew what it is like to be in a long distance relationship. When you don’t see someone you love for long periods of time, you just can’t take your eyes off of them. J&R were glued to each other and made my job a lot easier. We had a very fun session and I can’t wait to shoot their wedding at the Juniper in Banff. It will be so nice and warm then too! I can’t wait for summer…

Narisa & Jameel | a real Banff Engagement Session

What’s so real about this engagement session you ask? How about a photo session 5 minutes after she says yes? Sounds crazy but Jameel pulled it off. These two love birds have been together for 8 years and it was only a matter of time before Jameel went down on one knee. Jameel planned this many weeks in advanced so I offered him the session after his proposal so it would truly be a real engagement session. I mean, how many people actually have photos of themselves in the moment right after getting engaged. To be able to look back one day at your photos and say “we got engaged on that day”. It will be something truly special. Thank you so much, Jameel, for letting me be a part of a special day for you and Narisa. It was a wonderful experience. I know there are so many people who love you guys, but I got to be the one that was there. I am looking forward to a crazy wedding sometime in the future. For now, congratulations!
