"From the first photograph I saw of Johnny's I knew that he had to be our wedding photographer. Khang and I just couldn't stop talking about him and showing him off to everyone we knew!  Johnny must have thought we were crazy, we had our photographer and reception booked but no location for the wedding ceremony.  Just a few weeks before the invitations were ready to go out we called Johnny up and said “we’re set." We crossed our fingers that the weather would be good knowing that we really didn’t have a backup plan.  Our day started with him spending the morning with us "GIRLS" getting ready, capturing us running around with those "Big Day" butterflies. We then all proceeded to the park to start the ceremony; the weather was perfect we couldn't have asked for anything better. We were so focused on getting through the ceremony we didn't even notice Johnny working away.  And when it was finally over we couldn’t wait to see what Johnny had in store for us. Where would we go for our pictures… we were both open to anything and our wedding party knew to expect the unexpected. Unfortunately our first stop was blocked by security so Johnny had to come up with plan number 2. Good thing he has a creative imagination because just down the road was warehouse grounds. Who would have thought his is where we would end up?? Semi Trucks?  It wasn't till our reception that we were fortunate to see the amazing photo's that were taken throughout the day. Johnny started by impressing all our guests at our reception with his ability to make an instant slide show re-living the moments of our day bringing many to tears. It was breath taking. But we didn’t make it easy for Johnny, his day wasn't over yet, as the party started Johnny was still hard at work, capturing photo's of all of our guests so we could remember the people who shared our special day with us.  When our photos were posted we were astounded, I must have looked at them 100 times, over and over again. That special day that we had planned, every little detail that we worked so hard for was over but Johnny allowed us relive every moment. "Do not underestimate the importance of your wedding photos. I probably would have, if it wasn't for my wife knowing better. This is the most important day of your life, so make sure to document it well. You don't want someone just haphazardly snapping shots, you need a pro who can capture the feeling of a moment. This is something Johnny provides.  I remember, sitting in Johnny's living room almost 1 year prior to our wedding. Going through his portfolio and talking about his craft. He came across as a very down to earth guy who was passionate about photography. Helping us to understand his style and what made him different from the rest. This is not just a job for Johnny, he truly loves what he does. I have very happy memories from this initial meeting because after choosing Johnny we realized we had made our very first wedding preparation!  It turned out that our ceremony location had some fairly bad lighting. Some incredible shots came at this point.
My Wife and I have only been married for 6 months but we've been through our wedding photos at least 100 times. We had such an amazing time and we feel the photos Johnny took are a way to re-live the experience.

"When Mike and I got engaged, right away I knew one of the most important things would be our wedding photos. So I took to the internet and Googled "Calgary wedding photographers." One look at Johnny's site and I was hooked! His photos were full of feeling, artistic, and above all not the same old wedding poses you see everyone else doing.  At first my parents (who were paying) were not so sure. So we took some time to check out other wedding photographers, and after looking at only two others, my mom agreed that Johnny was the man for the job! We had a limited amount of time to get all of our wedding arrangements together so when I came across Johnny's website I grabbed my fiance at the time and showed him all of the beautiful photos. We both were in awe. I soon contacted Johnny who had no problem heading up to E-town to see my mother and I. Again, I was struck by his portfolio. I booked him the minute I finished drooling over his photos.  Our engagement session couldn't have been more fun. We were running around in a farmers field and precariously perching ourselves on a truck that maybe shouldn't have been touched let alone sat on. He made all of our experiences fun and we were thrilled with the results.  Then came our big day!! I was so excited and couldn't stop smiling about everything and anything. For the most part I never noticed Johnny I was too busy thinking and laughing about everything else that was coming my way. He took some of the most gorgeous pictures and I didn't even know it. "I don't think I ever could've imagined such incredible photography for my wedding. the whole experience of being the centre of Johnny's camera was a lot easier then I had initially expected- I really didn't want rigid pictures of my husband and I being camera shy. "It was only by luck and coincidence that our path crossed Johnny's. My then fiancee now wife Rebecca was browsing around the internet when she came across Johnny's site. We were both impressed by his style of photography, very modern, contemporary, artistic, and well in a word DIFFERENT. We already had a photographer booked so Rebecca just sent Johnny a quick email, complimenting his work, and mentioning that we wish we would have found him sooner, as we already had someone, and were sure, a month away from the day, that he was booked as well.  To our surprise, Johnny emailed back saying he was still available! We took this as a sign, forfeited our deposit with the previous photographer and booked Johnny.  At first meeting, we clicked right away. Johnny was easy to talk to, had many of the same interests as us, and I knew it was a good fit. To test him out, we booked Johnny for an engagement session. The amount of wicked shots he got in an hour and a half that we booked him for was worth every penny tenfold. I knew then we had made the right decision and at that point we were really looking forward to our wedding.  At our wedding, Johnny worked us hard. Yes he did, but look at our pictures! Simply amazing. Johnny has no boundaries and no inhibitions with his photography and it shows in the work that he produces. He's a constant supply of creativity and skill, not to mention energy. Best of all, we didn't even know Johnny was there for the big moments in our wedding. At the church, reception, etc., I could have sworn we didn't get any pictures. But, when he posted our gallery, I was like "Wow, where was he when he took these". There were tons of photos, candids, details, motion, etc., and I have no idea how he did it so discretely.
